Founded in the 1870’s by George H. Bass in Maine, New England. Bass shoes gained recognition when commissioned as the aviation boot for Charles A. Linbergh on his historic solo flight. By the 1960’s the timeless Bass Weejun Penny loafer was championed by the Ivy League set as the loafer of choice and has since been worn by such legends as James Dean & Michael Jackson.
